Advocate Praveen Kumar Jain is the Managing Partner of Parens Patrice and an Advocate regularly appearing before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, and arbitral tribunals. He received his law degree from the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in 2004, after completing his Bachelor of Commerce (First Division, Accounting & Finance) from the University of Rajasthan. He has since deepened his ADR credentials with an LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution from IILM (84%), a PG Diploma in ADR from the Indian Law Institute, and a PG Diploma in Arbitration Law at NLSIU.

He obtained formative professional training under Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti, Former Chief Justice of India, assisting in legal opinions across intellectual property, mines and minerals, corporate law, indirect taxes, property, and special economic zones, and attending domestic and international commercial arbitration proceedings.

Early in his independent practice, he handled an international commercial arbitration before the International Court of Arbitration (ICA), France, involving a dispute of over ₹120 crores (2008–09). He has since specialised in arbitration, civil and writ matters, with particular depth in construction and engineering arbitrations. As Arbitration Consultant to DG MAP, Ministry of Defence, he has defended the department in over two dozen construction-engineering arbitrations before tribunals comprising former Chief Justices of India and former judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts.

He has authored eight critical articles published in magazines and research journals of national repute; assisted in academic writing on Copyright and Related Rights – National & International Perspectives (Macmillan India Ltd.); delivered guest lectures on intellectual property at Vivekananda Law School, New Delhi; and been invited by news channels for live debates. He has addressed Company Secretaries (NIRC of ICSI) on arbitration and negotiable instruments law, and adjudicated moot court competitions including Amity International Moot (2013), NHRC–LC-1 National Moot (2016), and LC-1 All Delhi Moot (2018).
