Where an efficient, workable resolution can still be reached, the chambers prefers mediation and negotiated settlement over prolonged courtroom conflict. Where settlement is not possible or would surrender rights that must be preserved, the same file is prepared for firm trial advocacy and, where needed, appeal — with the seriousness of any contested brief.
